Shreya Jain
Shreya has always loved stories: the ones told across dinner tables, over chai between meetings, or in late-night voice notes when someone's trying to figure out what's next.
Over the years, she's pivoted across multiple roles and industries, each time arriving with no background in the space and starting from scratch. She knows that particular mix of humility and quiet defiance that comes with not knowing what you're doing yet, but doing it anyway.
She's also watched her father restart his career at 50 after losing the family store during COVID, and her uncle grow into a more reflective, different version of himself over the years. Different kinds of beginnings, but all recognisable once you've been through one yourself.
She started this platform because of all of that.
Arushi Gupta
Arushi works in credit and lending, so a lot of her days are spent thinking about businesses, money and what makes something actually work.
She's ambitious about her career, curious about almost everything, and especially curious about beginnings, the first client, the first "yes," the decision nobody saw happen behind a business that now looks inevitable.
With a background in economics and experience across investing, startups and credit, she's still figuring things out too: what to build next, and where all of it leads.
Started Somewhere brings together a lot of things she naturally gravitates towards: good conversations, interesting people, ambitious ideas and the occasional "wait, how did you actually start this?"
